Amy Clarke is a master at beading but her work goes far beyond technical skill. Her images are drawn from everyday life, but allude to mythology and fairytales read in childhood that now occur in her dreams. “I’ve always been fascinated with how, in myths and fairytales, common, everyday objects such as apples, stairs and snakes take on magical qualities.” Each piece takes you on a small magical journey with her symbolism leading the way.
