Needlework
has always been Beth’s medium for self-expression.
She creates charming, touching and sometimes disturbing but
always meaningful scenarios. She enjoys the slow meditative
pace and tactile quality of both machine and hand embroidery.
Her quest for “how to live her middle years” has
become the subject of her work. The approach may be serious
and funny, searching and observing, cutting and reassuring,
from memory or conjecture. “I’m interested in
stories, and find I tell them best through my hands.”
