Carol Eckert

Carol uses coiling, an ancient basketry technique, to construct contemporary allegorical vessels and staffs. Her intricately executed pieces take the viewer on a whimsical journey. She often employs a reoccurring “cast of characters to refer to certain mythological themes. My recent works are becoming more complex and slightly larger as I continue to explore the universal nature of animal symbols in legends, myths and spiritual traditions.”
