James Bassler is one of the most
accomplished, innovative and passionate weavers working today.
His love of the sensual aspects of fiber, respect for the historical
tradition of textiles, and creative energy is captured in each
piece in a new and exciting way. Many of his weavings have
the appearance of ceremonial or ritualistic objects. His work
celebrates “the recognition and integration of the hand-mind
processes into the rhythms of life.”
