The Arawjo’s baskets are masterpieces in woodworking coupled with meticulous weaving. They use hand-split white oak and hickory as their primary material, pushing the technical limits of refinement and detail. Their latest series called Light Vessels, are works of pure and simple traditional form. They not only contain light but also disperse it with a translucent, glowing aura resembling glass, which is caused by the reflection of monofilament used to weave together the wooden ribs.
