Renee invites the viewer to become lost in her magical images composed of layers of hand embroidery and sometimes hand felted wool. Her designs play with distortions in scale and windows that open onto unexpected worlds. You can always sense the hand of the maker in each piece. “Instead of constructing with words, I build a story using visual components that encourage dimensional interpretation.”
