Sue
Benner’s work literally vibrates
with color, form, texture and shape. The surface of her quilts
is a kaleidoscope of painting, printing, fusing, dyeing and
stitching. Sue’s educational background in molecular
biology and medical illustration can be seen in her work: “The
way I arrange space has to do with an underlying idea of
how atomism, molecules, organelles, cells and tissues are
organized.” Her energy and love of color, pattern and
movement are evident in each piece.
