Wendy Huhn

Wendy’s art quilts are amusing, whimsical, puzzling, engaging, thoughtful, intimate and never boring. Constantly, since childhood she has cut paper dolls from magazines and reassembled the pieces to create her own dolls. It is the same function and motivation that guides her in her life’s work and passion. The quilt is Wendy’s way of telling a story. Her inspiration comes from everyday situations. Wendy’s current subject has to do with relationships, punctuated with her continuing interest in gender issues: the changing place of women in traditional and contemporary American Society.
